Girl power
47% of WLRC participants are girls!
Coding is the new team sport for future tech leaders and innovators. Teams of kids ages 6-8, 9-11, and 12-14 will design solutions for real-world science and technology challenges by programming Dash, Dot, and our newest robot, Cue. They will develop problem-solving and creativity skills while building meaningful relationships with their peers and having fun! Plus, they will display their scientific thinking through authentic journaling.
Registration for year 5 (2019-2020) will open June 10th, 2019. Coaches will be able to register themselves as coaches, register their teams, and have early access to resources to help both teams and coaches get familiar with the competition. In addition, teams can gain access to resources to help practice their skills with some new summer mini missions. The competition will begin September 16th, 2019, when all missions and additional resources will be released. And stay tuned, we have a surprise for all our Wonder Leaguers for year 5.

The Wonder League Robotics Competition started in 2015 and has now reached more than 78,000 kids over the last four years. This growing network of coding and robotics teams uses our all-inclusive program to inspire an early love of coding, computer science, tangible learning, and STEAM education.
Through a series of story-based missions, the teams develop problem-solving, growth mindset, and creativity skills while learning to code. Three years ago, we invited international teams to participate and continue to see an ever-growing international presence making the Wonder League a truly global competition.
Through the competition, our daughter and her teammates surfaced tremendous creative problem - solving ideas, inventiveness and persistence - critical lifelong skills. What started as a robotics project for a small group of girls grew into a remarkable story for learning and perseverance that excited our entire community.
Teams from all over the world are welcome to compete in the Wonder League. Our past competitors joined us from 69 different countries, and we look forward to welcoming even more countries into the league this year.
Any kid, anywhere in the world, ages 6-14 as of 12/31/19, can participate. There are three age brackets: 6-8, 9-11, and 12-14. Kids must be the qualifying age for their bracket on the last day in 2019, when registration closes.
A team is made up of a supervising adult coach and one or more children. That’s right, kids can compete solo but will need a coach who is 18+ to help with the submission process! For multi-kid teams, each member must be in the same age bracket. Coaches may have multiple teams within the same registration form.
